Cycle Chic Sunday – Surf City!
Sunday August 15th marked the first official Cycle Chic ™ Sunday ride in the beachside city of Huntington Beach , Ca {aka Surf City, USA}
The ride started at the HB Civic Center where we met up with a glam group of gals at the newly installed surfboard inspired bike racks…
We then rode through the quite palm tree lined streets of the historic downtown neighborhood…

On our way down to the Pier Plaza we passed the mint green Victorian house from my previous post. We were all so in love with it that we had to stop and check it out …
Eventually we made it down to the Pier Plaza just in time to enjoy some rockin Surf Music at a free concert on the lawn. We dined on homemade nutella empanadas {courtesy of the lovely miss meredith} , sipped on ice cold soda pop , and enjoyed people watching all the folks on the boardwalk …

In between bands we walked down the sand to play Bacci ball and a KUBB. I can’t even begin how to explain the game KUBB – all I can say {without boring you} is really fun and really challenging. We played the ‘short’ version which lasts about 30 minutes. But I’ve seen games go on for hours!

** this is me getting super groovy to the retro surf rock playing in the backgrond** hehe **

Everyone was all smiles on the ride home …

…and can you blame them?
After a such a great day spent with fun people , good music , yummy snacks , and a lovely bike ride – who wouldn’t be smiling?!

Sooo much fun! I can’t wait to organize a little ride with my girls soon.
I’m in love with Eva’s jumper and the pin-striped dress. So fun!
